About My Blog

About My Blog

Welcome to my athlete blog, a place where i'll share my stories and adventures and accomplishments of being a junior cross-country ski racer in Canada.

I hope to travel the world skiing for Canada.  My big goal is to make the national team and be the best skier in the world!  Before I get there, I want to win a gold medal at nationals, I want to win the aggregate award for my age group at nationals, and I want to be the best skier that I can be.

I am a ski racer with the Canmore Nordic Ski Club.  I attend the National Sport School in Calgary and I live in Canmore.  I have really great coaches that have helped me to become a good racer for my age.  I am excited to have earned a spot on the Alberta Development Team through Cross Country Alberta and the Alberta World Cup Academy.

I had an incredible 2012-2013 ski season.  I won a silver medal at nationals and also had fourth, ninth, and eleventh place finishes.  I was really pleased to win the 5km interval skate race at Eastern Canadian Championships and I was also really happy to win the 3km interval skate at Western Canadian Championships.

The 2013-2014 season starts today; May 1st.  I can't wait!

Thank you for visiting my blog!
